Who We Are

World T.E.A.M.Since 1993, World T.E.A.M. has organized challenging outdoor athletic events for adaptive and able-bodied citizens – mountain climbing, white water rafting, biking, and more.

Our events include our annual Face of America ride with adaptive veterans to the historic battlefields of Gettysburg; our Adventure Team Challenge team events in western Colorado, New York and Washington D.C.; our Face of America Liberty ride from West Point to Manhattan; our Military Initiative mountaineering and winter sports expeditions; and our Coastal Team Challenge sea kayak adventures. Past events include the AXA World Ride, the Vietnam Challenge, our climbs of Kilimanjaro, the Mountain Madness in North Carolina, the Italian Dolomite Trek, our Sea to Shining Sea cross-country ride, and numerous clinics and training events for disabled and able-bodied persons.

World T.E.A.M. is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization chartered in North Carolina and headquartered in Holbrook, New York. Support comes primarily from individual and corporate donations, sponsorship support and grants.

Our Mission Statement

World T.E.A.M. brings adaptive and able-bodied athletes together by empowering, enabling and engaging individuals through inclusive athletic events.

For more than 25 years, World T.E.A.M. has used athletics to challenge adaptive men, women and children to accomplish goals they never thought possible. In all our events – whether mountain climbing, biking, white water rafting and many other sports – we include both adaptive and able-bodied participants.
